Pedal the Periphery

Barista Bar are excited to be the title sponsor of the ‘Pedal the Periphery’ (NI PANC) event set up in memory of a local PE teacher, Paddy Harrower, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on Easter Sunday, April 17th 2022. Paddy sadly died 14 weeks after his diagnosis on July 24th 2022. 'Pedal the Periphery' was Paddy’s idea and has been created in his memory by his Wife Andrea, and sister-in-law Cathy.

The challenge ‘Pedal the Periphery’, will see teams cycle a nonstop relay race of 480 miles in just 48 hours. Last year the 10 teams took part and raised just Under £100k and this year they are aiming for that figure to be bigger and better!

The challenge this year will be from 6th June 2025- 8th June 2025. The starting line will begin at Lisburn rugby club, and then finishing on the 8th June at Wallace High School Lisburn.

Not only will you be challenging yourself to reach new goals, but you will also be raising awareness about the disease and contributing to raising vital funds to go towards better diagnosis and treatment options for future patients.
